WD-40 - Who Knew It's So Handy!
What is the magic ingredient?

WD-40 who knew it was so useful! WD - short for Water Displacement #40 and created in 1953 by 3 Sand Diego Rocket Chemical Company. The product began from a search for a rust preventative solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. They were successful with the fortieth formulation, thus WD-40. There are lots of uses for this handy can that most of us have in the garage or under the kitchen sink. Here are a few of the top favs!

1. Shine and polish - stainless appliances.
2. Keep dead bugs off car grille - spray some WD 40 on the grille and hood before going for a drive and most of the critters will slide right off.
3. Remove paint-rub from another car - to remove paint-rub stains on your car and restore its original finish, spray the affected area with WD-40, wait a few seconds, and wipe with a clean rag.
4. Clean oil spots off of driveways - to get rid of an unsightly oil spot, just spray it with a generous amount of WD-40 and then hose it down with water.
5. Loosen Zippers - spray it on and pull the zipper up and down a few times to distribute the lubricant evenly over all the teeth. If you want to avoid getting the WD-40 on the fabric,
spray it on a plastic lid; then pick it up and apply it with an art brush.
6. Remove doggie-doo -spray some on the affected sole and use an old toothbrush to clean the crevices. Rinse with cold water and the sneakers will be ready to hit the pavement again.
7. Remove chewing gum from your hair -simply spray the gummed-up hair with WD-40, and the gum will comb out with ease.
8. Repel Insects and Roaches - keep a can of WD-40 handy, and when you see a roach, spray a small amount directly on it for an instant kill.
9. Get a ring un-stuck on your hand - A short burst of WD-40 will get the ring to slide right off.
10. Separate stuck glassware - Stuck glasses will separate with ease if you squirt some WD-40 on them, wait a few seconds for it to work its way between the glasses, and then gently pull the glasses apart.
