Education Hour
HIGH SCHOOL SUNDAY AM: Caribou Connection
SUMMER ADULT EDUCATION HOUR BEGINS NEXT SUNDAY, JUNE 9 Pastor Paul's Five-Week Class, What Happens When We Die?will be held in the Ministry Center from 10:45 -11:30 AM, beginning Sunday, June 9th and lasting through Sunday, July 7th. During this class, we will discover that the Bible does not offer one clear answer to this question. There are several possible answers, each with its own Biblical support. Pastor Paul will explore these possible answers, and see which one fits best with the teaching you have received in your Christian journey. The class will explore five pastoral situations, all of which Pastor Paul has experienced in his own ministry, that offer fascinating questions concerning this mystery. After considering Biblical and pastoral perspectives, the class will explore the latest discoveries of science and medicine.

ZOMI RECEPTION Two Sundays ago our congregation hosted a wonderful reception to welcome our Zomi friends that have been sharing parts of our facility for the last nine months. Our Zomi friends put on a delightful presentation and shared some of their concerns and needs. Assimilating to life in the USA is a significant challenge and they could really use our help. If you were inspired by the Zomi and are willing to give of your time to help, the Mission Committee here is working to plan and organize ways in which our First Pres congregation can provide that assistance and are looking for volunteers. One immediate need the Zomi are facing is for an attorney to help them navigate some visa issues with a Zomi evangelist traveling to the US from Burma in the coming months. If you know of any attorneys that can help in that area, or would like to volunteer to help the Zomi in other ways, please contact Justin Mead at jcmead@me.com
