Remember Virginia Brady Young

We must share sad news: We've learned Virginia Brady Young, founding member of Haiku Society of America and a former President of the Association, died on Sunday, April 1, at age 100.

At one point, she offered, "If a haiku delights or inspires me, I think it is good. I like it if it has a season word and internal comparison, but I break the rules when I choose."

Virginia Brady Young, who wrote:

all my life
the silence
of the sun

may her work remain in our minds and on our lips forever.
