Become a Sustaining Member!
As we approach the holiday season, do consider becoming a Sustainable Member of CCDO by giving a recurrent monthly donation that will help fund our operations throughout the year.

The operations in US and UK are run by volunteers out of their own homes. In Cambodia we need to have a home base office and we need to keep the lights on. Our operation monies come out of our general fund and without being able to pay office rent, telephone, internet, and critical staff, we cannot function and help the children and villagers.

Our monthly levels of commitment are

Bronze Rooster at $10       Silver Piglet at $25       Golden Elephant at $50.

You will receive a tax deduction letter on an annual basis. Click here to donate!
Hot off the Press!

Reports from the Ground
More Democratic Structure of CCDO

Our CCDO Coordinators have approached us with the idea of a new, more democratic operational structure on the ground in Cambodia. They wanted to see more equality and sharing of responsibilities.  In the hopes that down the road the Cambodian staff will be independently running the operations we listened. A new Office Manager Ms. Lun Navy was hired to help with day to day office and accounting tasks. She will be on the equal level as our coordinators. We wish our former director Sao Vanna all the best in hotel management career.

A big welcome to Lun Navy!

Warm Welcome to our new CCDO Office Manager and all round superstar Lun Navy! Navy has an extensive knowledge and experience on education in Cambodia and has a degree in both English and a Masters of Business Administration. She is the office comedian and is always making sure everyone around her has a smile on their face. Welcome Navy! We are so pleased to have you join the team.

World Clean Up Day Report

The CCDO team  participated in  Clean Up the World - Official day. We cleaned up the streets near our offices in Wot Polanka and Polanka Primary School. We taught the children the importance of keeping the world clean and they got involved in the efforts. We distributed rubbish bags and trash-picker tongs to the school and local businesses so together we can clean up the world every day!
English and Computer class registration

Registration for our English class took place in mid-September and we have 337 English students registered.

We are starting our Computer Classes in November and we had a huge interest from students. We had the students take a test before they could register for the class as we can only

Computer Class Registration Day
accommodate 75 students a day. We are also looking at their grades and previous attendance records before we make the final selection. A chance to learn about computers will be a special honor for the most dedicated and hardest working Secondary school students.

Thank you for your generous donations!
A special thank you to Andy Stoltz and the Taylor Group for once again printing a new batch of our brochures free of charge.  Andy has been a constant supporter of CCDO.

Thank you to our newest supporters Pearl Kolling and Dana Eng and their daughters who off the bat provided two water wells plus a latrine and funds to continue our anti-trafficking workshops.

We were approached by Texel Foundation based in the UK and Singapore, who wanted to provided funds for 5 wells and 5 latrines to  specifically benefit landmine survivors victims in association with Amansara Resort. We were glad we could help with our expertise on the ground and build the wells and latrines to ease the life of those suffering the most.

We are grateful to Gene Dunham for his steadfast friendship and support of CCDO. He has donated generously over the years. His new $1,000 donation will help supply the English textbooks for our new school year.
Celebrating Volunteers
Rose Wang Moves to New York!

Our delightful Rose Wang, who has fundraised for us and volunteered twice in Cambodia, is now a student at NYU in New York. She will be working at the CCDO New York office on Fridays, updating the data bases and sending out our thank you notes. Our young volunteers are such an inspiration and hope for the future.

School Construction Update
Our new school building is finished but the classes can't start without equipment. The new glass boards will be mounted on the walls this week and the students are volunteering during their break painting their old desks to be reused in the new classrooms. The school year starts in the beginning of November.
