2016 SPOTLIGHT! team project award winners 
2016 Tauber Team Boeing 777X
Tauber Team BorgWarner Transmission
Judges award 1st, 2nd, & 2nd!

First place at 2016 SPOTLIGHT! went to The Boeing Company 777X team of Alberto Arguello (MBA and MSE-IOE), Susan Biggart (EGL BSE/MSE-IOE), and Travis Parsons (MSE-EE).  Each student received a scholarship award of $5000 at the conclusion of the SPOTLIGHT! event, held Sept 16 at the Ann Arbor Sheraton.
Two teams tied for second place:  the BorgWarner Transmission team of Kyle Gilbert (EGL BSE-EE/MSE-IOE) and Ryan Kennedy (EGL BSE/MSE-IOE) and the Fresenius Medical Care team of Katie Redman (MBA) and Matt Riley (EGL BSE-ChE/MSE-IOE).  Each student received a scholarship award of $4000.

Photo winners smile in Suzhou

Microsoft's Manufacturing and Supply Chain Team captured the 2016 Tauber team project photo award.  Here Mohammad Jama (EGL BSE-ChE/MSE-IOE), Lauren Bilbo (EGL BSE/MSE-EE), and Bradford Lynch (MBA) visit a supplier plant in the Suzhou area to review the process flow for the parts that make up the cases of Microsoft Surface products.

Two 2016 alumni scholarship winners

The Tauber Alumni Board awarded $2500 scholarships to Misaki Nozawa (MSE-ME), shaking hands at right with Tauber Industry Director Ray Muscat, and to Nantha Rajendran (MBA), pictured below with Engineering Director Larry Seiford, Business Director Amitabh Sinha, Joel Tauber, Industry Director Ray Muscat, and Tauber Alumni Board President Andrew Burgess (MBA '11).

Tauber longevity award recognizes enduring industry partnerships

Tauber Industry Director Ray Muscat presented three awards at SPOTLIGHT! to team project sponsors in recognition of their continuing partnership with the Tauber Institute.  The Boeing Company was recognized for 20 years of Tauber team project sponsorship, and General Mills and Dow Chemical Company both received awards for 5 years of sponsorship.
