Congratulate your Tauber faculty

Congratulations to Wally Hopp!  He has been appointed the C.K. Prahalad Distinguished University Professor of Business and Engineering.  The title of Distinguished University Professor is a prestigious honor reserved for a very small number of the University's most elite faculty.

Several other Tauber faculty members also recently received promotions. Congratulations to Ross professor of technology and operations Damian R. Beil, CoE associate professor of industrial and operations engineering Mariel S. Lavieri, CoE professor of electrical engineering and computer science Wei Lu, and CoE associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science Zeeshan H. Syed.

Meet the next CoE Dean

Alec Gallimore will be the next Dean of the College of Engineering, succeeding Dean David Munson.
Gallimore is currently associate dean for CoE, as well as an Arthur F. Thurnau professor, the Richard F. and Eleanor A. Towner Professor of Engineering, associate dean for Academic Affairs, Professor of Aerospace Engineering, and Professor of Applied Physics.

Meet the next Ross Dean

Scott DeRue will be the next Dean of the Ross School of Business, succeeding Dean Alison Davis-Blake. He is familiar to many Tauber alums from his work as associate dean for Executive Education, director of the Sanger Leadership Center, professor of management, and faculty director of the Emerging Leaders Program.

Tauber Engineering Director Larry Seiford enjoyed sharing the Tauber Institute vision at the Annual IIE Conference and Expo in Anaheim, CA, May 21-24.  We'll be back next year!

Brian McGuiness comes to Tauber from the U.S. Coast Guard, where he was involved in everything from law enforcement to search-and-rescue to marine resources protection.  Brian shares his Tauber experience, including why he looks forward to "the chance to be the dumbest person in the room."
