Voters chose to 'Go Zipless' with the Zip+ at the 2016 IPD Trade Show.  The magnetic zipper replacement allows users to easily fasten their outerwear with only one hand.
The voters have spoken!  All five products at the 2016 Integrated Product Design Trade Show proved popular - but  magnetic zipper replacement Zip+ took home the prize for total profit.

This year's challenge was to redesign an everyday device that normally requires two hands to be operable by only one hand.  Check out the other innovative student designs: mobile laundry basket kurv, dish washer scrubd, hand washer washable, and 'Peel it. Heal it.' bandage Vizi.  You can also see pictures of all five products being evaluated by voters at the live 2016 IPD Trade Show when you visit Tauber on flickr, watch a #UMSocial snapchat story filed the night of the show, or read more about the competition results.

Welcome New Alumni!
We are welcoming fifty-seven new Tauber alumni to our growing alumni network.

Andrew Burgess (MBA '11) shares this advice: "Take on as many varied opportunities as you can early on; it only gets harder to diversify your skill set throughout your career. In concert with that, learning through failure is often much more beneficial than learning from successes, so give it a shot!"
