As part of the White House Office of Science and Technology, Professor Kota developed policy recommendations to enhance U.S. manufacturing competitiveness and foster innovation for manufacturing of emerging technologies. Now Kota's creative engineering at his Ann Arbor based company, FlexSys Inc., promises to change how airplanes fly.

The Fourth Annual Tauber Community Service Day brought Tauber students, staff, and members of the Industry Advisory Board together to donate their time and talents to four Michigan non-profits. By providing insights to improve operations, Tauber teams help these organizations leverage their resources to maximize their good work. This year Tauber volunteer teams worked for the Clean Energy Coalition, FAR Conservatory, Conkerr Cancer, and Recycle Ann Arbor's ReUse Center. The Tauber Institute's newest graduates celebrated their accomplishments at the annual End of Year Dinner at Weber's Inn. The 55 new alums from the College of Engineering and the Ross School of Business are beginning great careers all over the globe. Companies you can find them working for include Amazon, Boeing, Ford, GE, Intel, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft, and Wells Fargo.
