The
Tauber Institute for Global Operations  launched thirty-five team projects sponsored by top global firms for the summer of 2014 at a special dinner on March 11 at the Ross School of Business. The team projects were kicked off by an inspiring and motivational speech by Dave Brandon - Athletic Director at the University of Michigan. Read more.
Tauber Institute for Global Operations announced that two new members joined the Industry Advisory Board in March. The Industry Advisory Board, established in 1993, ensures the Tauber Institute stays at the forefront of multidisciplinary operations and manufacturing education and responds quickly to industry needs. Military friendly campus
Our nation's service men and women proudly display the colors of their respective branches of service, and many are boasting maize and blue as their second-favorite color combination.

The Tauber Institute for Global Operations is providing outstanding members of the US Armed Forces with graduate programming that is preparing them for careers in operations and manufacturing once their military service is through, and also providing them with cross-disciplinary, action-based training that applies to those still on active duty as well.

Professor William Lovejoy has seen some impressive and original products come out of his renowned Integrated Product Development (IPD) course at the University of Michigan.  The focus of the course has evolved along with students' interests and the marketplace, and this year, the cross-disciplinary IPD teams put their collective skills to work on locally-sourced, locally-manufactured products. Stock Car Pit Crew Challenge

Attention Tauber students. You are now leaving your comfort zone and entering the fast-paced world of a NASCAR pit crew. Don't forget your earplugs.

The Tauber Institute for Global Operations recently participated in the ninth annual Stock Car Pit Crew Challenge, a leadership and team-building module for first-year graduate students.

And though they've been asked to solve many management problems in their careers, most of the participants had never changed a tire before, let alone a 75-pound racing tire. Read more.

Boeing sponsored teams presented their team project results to the leadership team of The Boeing Company on November 8, 2013 at the University of Michigan.

The Boeing company sponsored three team projects for 2014 involving areas of concentration in IT, paint, and supplier operations.

Members of the National Academy of Engineering has elected Wallace Hopp, the Herrick Professor of Business, to join their ranks.

The Tauber Institute congratulates Wally Hopp, Tauber Executive Committee member, Herrick Professor of Business, and Ross School of Business Associate Dean on his election to the National Academy of Engineering, the most prestigious engineering organization in the United States. Herrick Chair of Business was established as a part of endowing the Tauber Institute to support the mission of manufacturing.
