Is the Twin Cities real estate market cooling?

The Twin Cities real estate market was red hot this spring, but that's not the case as we trek into November. Earlier in 2014, the sellers were in the drivers seats, many juggling multiple offers, homes gobbled up in just days. Now, it seems things are stagnating.

Inventory up 8%

Ann F. Anderson noticed the trend before Labor Day.

"We need something more to happen now. Interest rates need to fluctuate; some type of urgency for buyers to get back in the market," Anderson said.

Anderson reports that inventory is up 8 percent, but the buyers just don't seem to be out there right now.

"Spring was fun. Sellers were getting offers. Sometimes more than one, two -- they were able to sell homes in 10 to 15 days. Things just moved smoother," she said.
