Attracting the Millennial
by Seth Barnett

Attracting a Millennial audience to a regional event, or show takes planning and preparation. There is no perfect formula for getting Millennials to your events and keeping them engaged. Use the following very simple and yet highly effective steps to put Millennial value in your events and build attendance from this youngest member group. Any combination of these elements will create more opportunities to reach the younger generation and motivate them to become involved.  Read more HERE.

Working Together--TSPPA and MiPPA

TSPPA Executive Director Jessica Johnston recently wrote in an e-mail promoting TSPPA's Fall show, "It was great seeing some of you last month in Grand Rapids for MiPPA's 'Ideas in Bloom' Show. You may have been surprised to see me there, but as we prepare for TSPPA's first end-user show, the TSPPA Board of Directors and I thought it would be a good idea to shadow one of the industry's best for some great tips and tricks on hosting an end-user show. I'm pleased to report that I learned A LOT from Paul Kiewiet [MAS+]. To Paul and the MiPPA Board and volunteers, thank you for being so giving of your time and knowledge in support of TSPPA!"

About Executive Directors ...
GCPPA
Kelly Wilson has resigned from the association management company that supports GCPPA. She is moving to South Carolina to start a new career in the pharmaceutical industry.

"It has been a joy and a great learning experience working for GCPPA ... I will miss all the wonderful Board members and members that I have had the pleasure of interacting with over the years," Kelly said.   * * * * *   Tricia Wansor (with the same association management company) will serve as Executive Director. Tricia has hit the ground running and has been reaching out to many regarding GCPPA's August 23 Summer Showcase. She has a wealth of experience in marketing for Fortune 500 companies and in her role managing the day-to-day operations of GCPPA, Tricia will work closely with the Board to create and deliver programs and events that help members build and grow their promotional products business.

NWPMA
"I feel that I have helped build NWPMA back to good health and now want to expand my role at REI.  I want to focus on getting more folks outside with the right gear and I personally need to spend more time building trails, hiking, biking and paddling," said Thea Bruce.
Along with expanded responsibilities at REI, Thea will be acting in a part-time administrative role with a member of NWPMA. "My heart is with all of our members and associates across the country and will miss them all; so down the road, I hope to jump back in as a volunteer," Thea added.
"We want to thank Thea for her service and wish her well at REI and we're glad that she'll still be active in the industry," President Chris Piper said.  Read more HERE.

New Duo Marketing Message Debuts

Q2 Co-op Marketing Campaign

We are continuing the PPAI Regional Association Marketing Campaign begun last year that uses iconic partnerships to promote the importance of membership in both PPAI and the regional association.

A different "What If" message appears each quarter. We ask that regional promotional products associations run a concurrent campaign to your members (there's no obligation to do so); the more brand awareness we create by working together, the more effective these campaigns will be!

Q2 co-op marketing campaign graphics in various sizes are available to Executive Directors on Regional Central.
