By donating stock to the church, you can offset those gains with a tax credit based on the appreciated value. Here are some ways to put that abundance to work for your church and practice fearless generosity.

 

Simple Gifting Process: Direct your financial advisor to transfer securities into the Diocese of San Joaquin's account at Charles Schwab. As soon as the securities are received, they will be sold and the proceeds sent to your church per your instructions.

 

Planned Giving: Many planned giving instruments such as charitable gift annuities can be funded with appreciated securities.
