Sisters and Brothers,
I am excited about the 56th Diocesan Annual Convention. Now you could say that my excitement might be related to seeing the backside of the Tour Against Trafficking, that is, the completion of 750 miles and 18 days of cycling. There are two things I wish to write, firstly, given my present physical and health condition, I shouldn't think I will be covering all 750 miles/18 days on the saddle. I will cover it, whether it is on saddle or on carseat remains to be seen. Secondly, I have never been one to look to the "end of an event," in other words, it is not in me to wish October away for any reason. My excitement about Convention involves my joy at the prospect of our diocese getting together. My joy involves a celebration around the great work we all did during the Tour Against Trafficking. My joy involves launching a "vision focus" for the diocese. And my joy involves praying and playing with the people I love.
Please share my joy and my anticipation. Your joy and anticipation can be no more evident than by registering now for Convention. I ask that you register as soon as possible and for efficiency, I invite you register and pay online. Click here.
You are in my prayers. Blessings +David

Volunteer's needed with Medical Background
Dear People of San Joaquin,
I am l looking for volunteers with professional medical background that we could call if needed during the Tour Against Trafficking.
We have made arrangements with an ambulance service however it would be nice if something were to occur that we have a list of people to touch base concerning medical advise.

Yellow Bag and Human Trafficking Inspire Action
Fr. Nick Lorenzetti, St. Paul's, Modesto At the monthly meeting of the Central Valley Realtors Association in Modesto on Wednesday September 9th, I was fortunate to speak to an audience of about 40 people about the church's efforts regarding the fight against human trafficking as well as our yellow bag project. The intensity with which the message was received resulted in an audience which became dramatically silent. Read more...
