ORDER YEARBOOKS, PLACE TRIBUTE ADS

It's that time of year again - time to order your yearbooks and honor your students with a tribute ad.  Our yearbook club has been working diligently all year to design the book, complete with custom cover art.

Right now, you can purchase a yearbook for $25 through January 31.  After that date, the price will go up to $35.  You can also have your student's name digitally imprinted onto the front of the book for an additional $5.

Order online at:

Our school code is:  20922.  You can also order an ad at that same link.  If you prefer to send in a check or cash, you can download an order form here and turn it into the front desk.
1ST GRADE STUDENTS PITCH INVENTIONS

First grade students had an opportunity to pitch their inventions from last semester to a team of Georgia Tech professors via Skype today.  This was part of the K-12 Inventure Challenge, and students received feedback on their inventions so that they could improve on their designs.
BECOME A FRIEND OF THE AMANA LEARNING GARDEN
Parents - we need your help to make our learning garden experience more enjoyable and more meaningful for our students.

We are looking for a group of people who can volunteer in the garden on a weekly or bi-weekly basis - both to help with classes in the garden, and to assist with garden maintenance.  We've received some responses already, but we can always use more help.  Please take a minute to respond to this brief survey so that we can gauge interest in this important academic program.

CHAPERON REQUIREMENTS FOR OVERNIGHT FIELD STUDIES
If you are interested in serving as a chaperon on your child's overnight field study, you will need to be certified as a Tier III volunteer with Amana.  This includes everything required for Tier II certification (volunteering in the classroom, or on a single-day field study), as well as submitting to fingerprinting and an FBI background check.  The fingerprinting and background check process must be completed annually, and is specific to Amana (we can't use a background check that's been done for another school or organization).  If you have not had this done for Amana in the last 12 months, you will need to do it again.

If you are unsure about when you last had this done, please email nfox@amanaacademy.org

RE-ENROLLMENT DUE BEFORE JANUARY 31

As we prepare for Open Enrollment for new students, we must calculate how many of our current students and any of their siblings new to the school will be attending Amana next year. We must have this information prior to the lottery so that we can calculate how many open seats we will have.

We ask that you please complete the form on our website prior to January 31, 2016.
AFTER-SCHOOL CLUBS
