FAMILY DIRECTORY INFORMATION
Dear Parents,
 
The Amana Family Directory was established to help build a stronger community for our families within the school. We hope that Amana family members will use the directory information to contact each other about campus related activities such as classes, co-curricular and extra-curricular programs as well as off-campus social events.
 
Students will be listed by homeroom then alphabetically by last name, first name. The information provided is limited and private. Non-Amana individuals do not have access to the directory. The Amana Directory will be made available on our website within the next week.  Please note parents may opt in or out of the online directory by doing the following prior to Monday, September 14.  To make your preference known, do the following:
  1. Log into Home Access (If you did not receive your user name and password you must pick it up in person at the front desk).  If you have trouble logging in please email shale@amanaacademy.org.
  2. Once you've logged in, go the left menu and click registration
  3. Click edit under FERPA information
  4. Each box checked will block that information from being shared.
  5. Click save
Here are some troubleshooting tips for logging into the parent portal. Please remember the following: 
  • You no longer have to put  @fcs.org after the user name 
  • User name and password are case sensitive 
  • If you mistype you will have to restart your computer or it will remember the mistype each time you log in

After 10 years, we think it's time to spruce up our website, and we need your feedback. Please take a minute to take this short survey so we can get an idea of how parents are using the website, and any ideas you might have for improving it.  Thanks!
GET IN THE AMANA SPIRIT NEXT WEEK!
Our Middle School SGA (Student Government) and several Staff members have been collaborating on next week's events, activities, whole-school Community Circle and, of course, our spirit-wear days. We know it is going to be an Awesome Fall Spirit Week, so let's all get excited.
 
SPIRIT WEAR DAYS:
Each Day we will recognize "winners" from all grade levels so make the outfits Amazing!!
 
Monday:
"Multiples Monday" (otherwise known as "Twin" day) dress exactly like a friend or several friends, you should mirror each other.
 
Tuesday:
"Show Your True Colors" Dress up all in one color for the day, each color will represent a cause or emotion, detail to come. See the bottom of this message for what each color means.
 
Wednesday:
"We are All Characters Wednesday" Dress up as your favorite book or movie character. Be ready to explain who you are and why you chose them.
 
Thursday:
"Throw-back Thursday" We are going back to the 80's folks, so dress like your parents did in the 80's, we are excited to see all of the neon.
 
Friday:
"Amana Spirit Day: Blue and Green Everything" Head to toe Blue and Green, we will all share our spirit at our Whole School Community Circle that Friday.
 
Whole School Community Circle: Friday September 18th, 11:45am-12:30pm at the Alpharetta Community Center. All parents are welcomed to attend; you will sit in the bleachers.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT AT SKYZONE ROSWELL

This exciting event is approaching quickly and we want to make sure you don't miss out on the fun!

Look forward to Fun, Family, and Fitness.  In support of Spirit Night, Sky Zone is giving us special pricing:  $9.00 + tax for 1 hour of jumping (Amana will get $3.00 of this back).  Plus, families can buy the fundraiser meal that includes one large one topping pizza and a pitcher of choice of fountain drink for just $10.00 + tax.  For every meal deal purchased, Amana receives $2.00.  If you already have the Sky Zone socks, please remember to bring them.  There is a $2.00 charge for socks and the socks are reusable and are required for sanitary and safety.

ROSWELL YOUTH DAY PARADE

Get Excited Amana!!! We are Elated to celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary.  We are looking for creative Adults and Kids to lend their expertise in creating an eclectic float for the ROSWELL YOUTH DAY PARADE.  The Annual Roswell Youth Day parade and Youth Day Festival are the culmination of a week-long recognition of youth.  If you would like to be in on this wonderful opportunity using recycled materials, please contact Jessica El Aboudi At spragginsjessica@hotmail.com
