March Madness is a fun, friendly competition to help students prepare for the new Georgia Milestones Standardized Test. Each week, we'll be featuring the classes and students who reached the top of the leader-board for the previous week.
- Ms. Stanton's second grade homeroom students are the K-2 Standard Masters of the Week.
- Second grader TJ Wanjohi is the individual winner for K-2
- Mrs. Barnett's 4th grade homeroom students are our 3-5 Top Blue Ribbon Achievers of the week.
- 4th grader Alisa Ljubuncic is the 3-5 individual blue ribbon winner of the week.
- Mrs. Winchell's 7th grade homeroom students are the 6-8 Top Blue Ribbon achievers of the week.
- 7th Grader Rakhima Suleymanova is the 6-8 individual blue ribbon winner of the week.
Congratulations to these students and their teachers for achieving these milestones!

We need your help! Do you have experience with event planning, silent auctions, fundraising or walk-a-thons? Are you looking for a way to complete your 10 volunteer hours? Join us on Friday, April 3 from noon until 1:00 PM in the parent center for a SQUAWK & WALK planning meeting where we will discuss the plan for this year's event. We need people to help solicit and collect donations for the silent auction, find businesses to sponsor the event, recruit volunteers for set-up and clean-up and to help spread the word about this fun, family-friendly fundraiser throughout the community. PIE BRAINSTORMING SESSION
|
PIE, Amana's local parent organization, is beginning to plan for next year and wants YOUR input. Are there programs or events you want to see next year? What should PIE's primary focus be? What changes, if any, would you like to see in PIE's organizational structure?
We have invited the director of Georgia PTO, Mr. Rich Thompson, to facilitate a discussion of these questions at a Brainstorming Session on Sunday, March 22, 2-4 PM in the school's Parent Center. All interested parents are invited to attend.
The Parent Center is located in suite 109-A, in between Satay House restaurant and the main school entrance.
Refreshments will be served.
