PARENT SURVEY - YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS DEADLINE - DECEMBER 10

School climate is critical to student success and to Amana Academy's 2020 Vision strategic plan, as we have set a goal of achieving at least 90% satisfaction among each stakeholder subgroup (students, parents, staff). Therefore, we are asking that you complete an internal school climate survey that is modeled after the Georgia Department of Education Parent Survey (GaDOE GSPS), which you will take again in February.

The purpose of this internal survey is to provide Amana Academy's leadership with your feedback well in advance of the release of the GaDOE version, since we will not receive the results of that survey until much later in the year.

Please note key differences between this internal survey and the Ga DOE survey are that this internal survey also provides specific questions regarding our school's leaders and open ended questions.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback; and know that your responses are anonymous. Please click on the following link to complete the survey by Wednesday December 10!

MEET NEW PIE PRESIDENT AT NEXT WEEK'S PIE MEETING

Please join us in welcoming Kimberly Landsman as the new President of PIE, Amana's parent organization. She was voted to fill the vacant position by the PIE Board, in accordance with PIE Rules of Operation. We wish Kim and all our parent volunteers the best of luck going forward into the rest of the school year!

Parents wishing to meet Kim may join us at this month's PIE Work Meeting next Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 8:15 AM. For a change of pace, we are going to hold this meeting atMugs on Milton
on 35 Milton Ave. in downtown Alpharetta. All parents are welcome to join.

Kim Landsman may be contacted at kym19@bellsouth.net.

IMPORTANT - COMPLETE RE-COMMITMENT FORM FOR 2015-16

Dear Parents:

As we prepare for Open Enrollment for new students, we must calculate how many of our current students and any of their siblings new to the school will be attending Amana next year. We must have this information prior to the lottery so that we can calculate how many open seats we will have.

In order to reserve your seat for next year, please complete the Re-commitment Form on our website, located under the Admissions tab, December 31, 2014.
