School Supply Lists for Fall 2014-15 are posted on the main web page. Please visit the school web page at www.amanaacademy.org to view.

The Middle School Supply List is included in the Summer Reading Assignment Materials.

Uniform Update: New Next Year!
All boys in grades K- 8 will be required to wear a belt beginning the 2014-2015 school year. Shirts will be required to be tucked in.

Another addition to next year's school uniform includes a new recommended, high-quality shoe. The recommended shoe is the Merrell Jungle Moc for boys and girls  .

The Merrell Jungle Moc can be purchased here: Merrell Jungle Mocs or through Buckhead Uniforms. The Merrell Jungle Moc serves as the uniform shoe of choice and the Adventure/PE shoe of choice. Parents save money by only having to purchase one well-made pair of shoes vs. purchasing one pair of shoes for uniform days and one pair of shoes for PE days. Although the shoe is not required; several Amana parents have raved about the quality and savings of this purchase and we wanted to pass along this savings to you!

Tutoring
Are you interested in tutoring for your elementary student this summer? Tutoring is available on an independent contract basis with the following teachers over the summer.Payment schedules for tutoring services and meeting times occur independently with the teacher and parent.

Grades K-2 Reading and Math tutoring: contact Laura Lahara at llahara@amanaacademy.org

Grades 2-5 Reading and Math tutoring: contact Erin Kuglin at Erinkuglin1@gmail.com

Carpool Input Requested
We're looking at options for the way our carpool flows through the parking lot, and we'd like parents' input.  If you have suggestions, or would like to be a part of the planning process for the coming school year's carpool flow, please contact Mr. Jaleel: ejaleel@amanaacademy.org.

Campus Closed on June 4
Through our partnership with Officer Vincent Johnson of the Alpharetta Police Department, our school has been chosen as a local SWAT exercise training site. SWAT teams from North Fulton municipalities will be using our school building for a rescue simulation on June 4th. Therefore, the school will be closed to visitors and staff.

Amana Academy is fortunate to serve the community in this capacity and the public safety effort of our local police forces and first responders.

Enjoy your summer!
