| FRIDAY - OUT OF UNIFORM DAY |
Our last day of school is this Friday, May 23rd. To celebrate our students' accomplishments on their expedition showcases and the CRCT, students may dress-down out of uniform according to the out of uniform guidelines on our website.
That same day, we will be hosting our annual Whole School Community Circle - Moving Up Ceremony at the Alpharetta Community Center at 9:00 AM. All parents are welcome to attend community circle.

| SUMMER READING AND SUMMER MATH REQUIREMENTS COMING SOON |

Parents of elementary school students should check their child's folder tomorrow for information about summer reading and math requirements. This information will be available on the Amana website starting next week.

| PARENTS PLEASE CHECK LOST AND FOUND |

Any items left in the Lost and Found after dismissal this Friday, May 23rd, will be donated to North Fulton Community Charities or added to the PIE used uniform sale. Please check Lost and Found to make sure you have all of your children's items.

| AMANA STUDENTS FEATURED FINALISTS IN WAL-MART CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST |

The following students' t-shirt art designs are the finalists for the Wal-Mart Children's Miracle Network 2014 T-shirt Design Contest!
Ashley from Ms. Precord's class,
Sam G from Ms. Stanton's Class and
Immad from Ms. Phillips class.
The winning design will be unveiled at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Haynes Bridge Road on June 7 at 2:00 PM. The wining design will be featured on the official Walmart Children's Miracle Network 2014 T-shirt! It will say the students first name and Amana Academy! The winner will also receive an undisclosed gift card.

| CONGRATULATIONS TO NEW PIE OFFICERS! |
Elections were conducted in April for the PIE Executive Board for the 2014-2015 school year. PIE welcomes the new officers and wishes them, and all of the parent community, the best of success in its activities for next year.

According to the PIE Rules of Operation, an unfilled position may be filled by a vote of the PIE Executive Board. An announcement will be made once the office of Vice President of Programs is filled.

| DONATE UNIFORMS OVER THE SUMMER |

Amana will open with modified hours throughout the summer, so if you have used uniform pieces that your children have outgrown, and that you'd like to donate, please feel free to drop them off.
PIE will most likely have a used uniform sale either at Open House or on the first Friday of the school year, so any gently used uniform pieces you'd like to donate would be greatly appreciated.
Modified summer hours are as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Fridays: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

| LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER "BUDDIES" TO GUIDE NEW PARENTS |

Are you helpful by nature? Do you enjoy talking to new people and making them feel welcome? If so, you can be an Amana Buddy! Amana Buddies will help families new to Amana transition into our school during the first weeks of the next school year.
As an Amana Buddy, you would:
- Be partnered with a few new families in the grade(s) of your choice.
- Welcome your new families with a phone call or email.
- Meet your new families at the Welcome Back Picnic in August.
- Be available to answer questions throughout the school year.
