SPIRIT WEAR DAY - OCTOBER 18
|
Next Spirit Wear Day - October 18th
Our next Spirit Wear Day is Friday, October 18th in observance of National Bullying Prevention month. Wearing Spirit Wear reminds us that "we are crew", and shows respect for our school and our classmates. Order Spirit Wear by Friday, October 11th in order to receive it before the 18th.
Please note that students may wear either Amana spirit wear, or their uniform. This is not an out of uniform day, but a spirit wear day. Students who wear spirit wear should follow the out of uniform guidelines (located in the parent handbook), with the exception that they should be wearing an Amana spirit wear shirt. Students who do not have spirit wear may wear their uniform as usual.

BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB BOOKS BEING DELIVERED |
Birthday Book Club books will be delivered this Friday, October 11. Thank you to all who partcipated! This important fundraiser will enable Amana Academy to purchase several online, interactive books and several audio books for the school. Please look for this library fundraiser again next year and celebrate your child with a book.

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL PRE-SALE |
Wristbands for the International Festival will be on sale Friday October 11th and Friday October 18th in the lobby. Pre-sale prices are $12 - a $3 discount off the price at the door - and entitle the wearer to unlimited access to carnival games, train rides, pony rides and bouncy houses. Entrance fee is included. Food, henna, calligraphy and face painting will be available at an additional cost. The International Festival will be held Saturday, October 19th from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Bring your family, have some fun and get a taste of Amana's incredible diversity!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL |
International Festival is Amana's biggest event of the year and it takes a super crew to make it successful. Click here to sign up wherever you can help best. Even the smallest job will help make International Festival a wonderful day to remember for our community and children.

DON'T FORGET YOUR PIE DUES |
If you haven't yet paid your PIE dues, you can send them back in the envelope that went home last week. Or, pay online at http://www.amanaacademy.org/pie_dues. Remember, dues are $20 per child and are vital for funding enrichment and community building events at Amana. These include International Festival, Family Fun events, Teacher Appreciation, Field Day and more!
