MOROCCO SPRING BREAK TRIP - INFO SESSION
Attention Middle School parents: we will be partnering with EF Tours - the world's leader in international education - for our Morocco Spring Break Trip!  We have designed a special information session on Tuesday, September 24th at 7:00 PM in the media center for those of you interested in learning more details about package costs, itinerary, and what you need to prepare.  If you have not already done so, please fill out an interest form by clicking here.
HANDS-ON AMANA - OCTOBER 4-5
Parents and friends of Amana - as we get closer to the grand opening of our new middle school wing, we need your help with freshening up the cafeteria with a new coat of paint.  Hands On Amana is a great tradition at our school where parents, alumni and friends work on facilities volunteer projects.  Please click here for the sign-up form. This will be a three day process starting Friday, October 4th and ending Sunday, October 6th.  You can sign up for a 2-hour window on any of the three days.  We need people to tape the edges, move furniture, paint walls and clean up. Parents may bring children, but they must be supervised at all time.
SHARE YOUR CULTURE AT THE
INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
It's almost time for the 2013 Amana International Festival!  We invite parents to showcase their culture and its traditions with a country display booth.  Contact Colleen Jaafar at cjaafar@aol.com for more information.

Plans for the festival also include carnival games, food vendors and a bazaar.  It will take place on Saturday, October 19 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM

STEWARDSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS
These two projects are coming up on September 28th!  Take your pick and come out and join the action.  Parents and students welcome:

Rivers Alive at Wills Park - 9:00 AM: Help prepare a pollinator garden for planting.  We'll meet first in the parking lot behind Amana.  RSVP and questions should be sent to samer.bashir@gmail.com.

Trail-maintenance project sponsored by REI from 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM at Cheatham Hill in Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.  RSVP and questions should be sent to saraeadamanapie@gmail.com.  More information can by found by clicking here.
