Coach of the Year Nominations
January 1 through February 18

Please consider nominating your coach for the Pacific Masters Coach of the Year Award. Submissions should include a nomination letter along with a maximum of four support letters. Click to read a description of the award along with the nomination and selection process.  Nominations are due on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 6 PM and should be sent to [email protected].  

Jon Steiner Memorial Mile Postal Event
January 1 through February 28
Tamalpais Masters hosts this event which benefits lung cancer research. Swim 1650 yards or 1500 meters in any pool and submit your results. There is also a team category.
Pacific Masters Meeting
Wednesday, February 18
The next Pacific Masters meeting will be held this Wednesday, February 18th at 7 p.m via internet/webinar. All members are encouraged to attend. Email Charlene O'Brien for the agenda and log-in details. [email protected]

The City Mile   

Sunday, February 22   

Pacific Masters is again sponsoring The City Mile. This is the only time the one mile event is contested before Pacific Masters Championships. Results from this event can also be used to enter the Jon Steiner, 1650 Postal. The event is held at City College of San Francisco natatorium, a deep water pool. The venue is just west of the 280 freeway.

This is a paperless meet. To swim you MUST ENTER ON-LINE by 11:59 pm Thursday, February 18, 2015.

Intensive Training Camp
Friday-Sunday, March 6-8

The 28th Annual Intensive Training Camp, the longest running camp in USMS,  is being hosted by Walnut Creek Masters and is rapidly filling up to its limit of 50 swimmers.  It is considered an opportunity for competitive swimmers to "jump start" their short course yards season that culminates at the National Championships. information/registration

Coach Certification Class
Saturday, March 7
U.S. Masters Swimming is hosting Levels 1&2 Masters Coach Certification Course from 9:00 am-5:00 pm.  Instructors are Cokie Lepinski, Mel Goldstein and Bill Brenner.  information/registration

Rinconada Spring Short Course Meet

Saturday, March 14

Novice swimmers with no prior masters swimming experience as well as veteran swimmers will enjoy this swim event. The 50 yd. freestyle and the 50 yd. backstroke are specially designated for the novice swimmer but the meet also has variety of other fun events including the 1650 yd. Fly!  Check it out. information/registration 

CAL Aquatic Masters Spring SCY Meet

Sunday, March 29 

Come on out and participate in this outdoor 20 lane fast pool.  The 500 yd. free is limited to the first 40 swimmers so don't delay in signing up. Discount given for on-line entry. information/registration

Saturday, March 21
The Pacific Masters Committee would like to invite you to attend a swim workout followed by a light breakfast and meeting.  The 9:30 am swim workout will take place at Clarke Swim Center, 1750 Heather Drive, Walnut Creek followed by a 11:00 am light breakfast and 11:30 meeting at Sports Basement across the street from the pool. All are encouraged to attend.  Please RSVP to Charlene [email protected]
