2001- 2010

It is getting close to the end of the year and it is time to start thinking about nominating a coach to be the Pacific Masters Swimming 2012 Coach of the Year. Last years Coach of the Year, went on to be the United States Masters Swimming Coach of the Year. More details will be forthcoming about where to send the nomination.

For those who are a Masters coach or thinking about becoming a Masters Coach, you should get on the PacMasters Coaching Mailing List. Cokie Lepinski, coaches chair, is keeper of the list.

Fun, Fitness & Competition

Kind regards,

Michael Moore

Thoughts and Prayers
Chuck Wielgus, executive director of USA Swimming, has been battling cancer for the past several years. Sadly, he has had a recurrence, but there is no one more optimistic than Chuck and he is under the care of some of the best doctors in the world. As part of his treatment, he will be undergoing surgery this month and, as a result, will be out of the USA Swimming office for 6-8 weeks.  There is no one who is a stronger fighter than Chuck Wielgus and we are all very optimistic he will win this battle. Please keep Chuck and his family in your thoughts and prayers..

The first meet of the new year will be the Santa Rosa Flower Power Meet to be held at the indoor Santa Rosa Community College Pool. This is the first pool meet, Pacific has sanctioned in the North Bay Area in a long time.
