Greetings! Summer in the City. There are a couple of Open Water meets at the end of the month, it is in the Pacific, however, you can wear a wetsuit and be in the category 2 division.
After we have had Worlds, then Nationals, now our Pacific Masters Long Course Championships will be contested in about four weeks.
A couple of interested items on the web: NBC Olympics has a video on Missy Franklin and the way she does the butterfly.
New York Times writer Karen Crouse writes about her first "newspaper" articleas a middle school student that spurred on Mike Bruner in the Olympic Trials.
If you have pictures or comments about Pacific Masters, please post them on our Facebook Pacific Masters Social Group page. There are a few pictures of our swimmers at swim meets. Join and "like" our page.
If your team has any video that should be part of the video of the week, please let me know so we can feature it.
Enjoy the summer.
Fun, Fitness & Competition
Kind regards,
-michael
