We often take action in our lives for reasons that we think are valid. We may take a job because of the money or buy a house because of the neighborhood. We may take a trip because everyone else is going. We may do many things because we think it's the right thing. But sometimes we don't feel exactly right about it - before, during or maybe even after. We may feel tightness in our shoulders or guilt or as though we have settled. When we take action that is not in alignment with our authentic self, we feel it, big time. We just don't always know what it is or what it means.
Did you ever have a vision to do something and when you took action and it felt heavenly? The ease of it all and the peace that blanketed the whole experience was probably luscious, right? This action would be closer to an inspired action. Inspired action is when we act from an inner voice instead of an outer prompting. We trust it, we act upon it and we never regret it. We actually wish we could do it more.
Well, you can do it more. If you are committed to having more inspired action then what to do is listen more and talk less. Take your emotional temperature about how you feel before doing something. Do you feel stressed, anxious or just a bit off but can't put your finger on it? If so, you may want to wait until you feel the rightness of the moment. It may come for that action or another. Once you put it out there that you are now willing to trust your inspired action, you will begin to receive more and more of them.
Before over-thinking your next project or activity , spend some time in meditation or journaling. Go out in nature or just sit in peacefulness. Allow the action to reveal itself and see how honoring it feels compared to actions you've taken in the past.
Fill me in; I'd love to know how wonderful your new experience was.
Enthusiastically,
Fran
