Hello !
We all know that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, correct? This is also true when it comes to realizing our vision.
Keep in mind , that every thought you have is going in one of two directions - You are either moving TOWARDS your vision or AWAY from it. Which one will you choose?
Below are three samples of how you might manage your thoughts while on the path towards your goal.
CLEAR THOUGHT:
When you have a vision, the optimal way to achieve it is through a series of clear thought (see example 1).
It might look like this inner dialogue: My next car will be, I am enjoying my new car, I deserve this car, this car brings me new-found freedom and joy.
With continuous clear thoughts like this you will shoot faster towards your vision.
OPPOSING THOUGHT:
Unfortunately, for some, our path may look more like the drawing in example 2 with a series of opposing thought.
Your inner dialogue might look like this: I want a new car, I can't afford a new car, the car I want doesn't have great gas mileage, I don't deserve a new car, This will never happen, I am too tired to think about a new car. What if I lose my job and can't afford it.
With opposing thoughts, chances are you will not achieve your goal of having a new car, and even go in the opposite direction of having one.
REDIRECTED THOUGHT:
Then there are those of us who have both clear and opposing thought intertwined. This is very common and completely natural. The way to take charge of this pattern of thinking and produce better results is the redirected thought as seen in example 3.
Clear thought: I'm ready for my new car
Opposing thought: What am I crazy to think I can afford a new car now?
Redirected thought: Maybe I am crazy but I deserve this car, I'm committed to having it.
Clear thought: I love driving my new car
We all want to reach our vision in the shortest amount of time. Using the redirected thought process will get you back on track to your shortest path more quickly. Remember that your thoughts can be changed at any given moment. , you are the driver, the pilot and the captain of your thoughts. If you are responsible for the direction that they travel, which direction will you choose right now, then right now, then right now? It's an ongoing redirection until you are trained to think in the direction of your vision more often than not.
