Do you ever feel as though you have been in a fog or a deep sleep for a long time? You know, where you are operating on auto pilot but you know there is so much more to you than that?
When I get that way I often catch myself with an adamantly reprimanding voice telling myself to WAKE UP! Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Possibly because it's not the right time to wake up yet.
There was a time when I was meticulous about filing and bookkeeping. While going through a transitional period, I found that I could no long focus on either of those and would beat myself up over and over for it. Eventually, I realized that what I was going through needed all of my attention and energy and when the time was right, I would resume those duties. It was a tremendous release of guilt and shame and I was able to deal with my other 'stuff' with more ease.
Maybe you have put certain things on the back burner . Maybe you are making yourself wrong for it. If ever you try to wake yourself up and you don't respond, maybe it's not time yet and try to lighten up on yourself and see if that makes the difference.
Be patient with yourself today !
