Down time, the thing we neglect the most. Hmmm, why is it more important to complete your 'TO DO' list than your 'PERSONAL NEED' list?
Someone once directed me to look at their calendar to see how busy they were. He said this implying he was a victim to his social life. I asked, knowing the answer, whose handwriting was on that calendar. After all we make our own busyness and no one will hand us our time off. It's something we have to take back from the world. No matter how important you think your 'TO DO's' are, you need to do the 3 R's, regroup, replenish and revitalize. I call it unplugging.
Schedule your down time, daily, weekly or whatever you can start with. Unplug the phone, the TV, the computer and the doorbell and be with the lusciousness of your own essence. Enjoy your own company . Not only you, but the rest of the world will benefit from your down time.
Enthusiastically,
Fran
