We are all too aware of the pressures and stress put upon today's youth. How do we help our girls to be mindful and practice self-care? How do we teach our girls to cope with emotions and test anxiety? Are we taking the right steps to ensure our girls develop a healthy body image?

Hathaway Brown to Host 2016 Private Schools with Public Purpose Conference

The Private Schools with Public Purpose (PSPP) conference, now in its ninth year, was created to provide a place for those who are committed to the cause of equity in education to come together to connect, learn, and engage with each other around these issues. The goal is to bring together educators from both private and public school sectors, community activists, non-profit leaders, philanthropists, and advocates to dialogue, tackle challenges, and find solutions.

Hosted at Hathaway Brown School March 10-12, 2016, the PSPP will be filled with opportunities to share resources and ideas through diverse mediums and new styles of presentation; feature Eric Gordon, CEO of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and Reem Rahim Hassani, Co-Founder and Creative Director of Numi Tea as the keynote speakers; and include pre-conference adventures at sites including the iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

Annually, OSG works with more than 350 schools across the world to develop and deliver innovative online, blended, and in-person programs. OSG also partners with NCGS to offer the course Introduction to Girls' Schools. Dates for 2016 sessions will be announced in the spring.

The Philippine Alliance for Girls' Education (PAGE) was founded in 2013 through Project COGENT (Cooperation for Girls' Education, Nurturance, and Training) with assistance from the U.S. Department of State. Hosted by NCGS member school Miriam College, PAGE serves as a network of 18 basic education schools working towards the empowerment of girls, young women, and their mentors. It facilitates the sharing of best practices, research, and programs in girls' education in the Philippines and beyond. As a professional cooperation network, it supports the discourse of empowered participation of girls and young women in nation building and social transformation.

The mission of Young Women's Preparatory Network (YWPN) is to support single-gender, college-preparatory, public education in Texas and beyond, giving young women the academic and leadership skills to achieve success in college and in life. YWPN partners with public school districts to create and support all-girls schools with a focus on leadership, college readiness, and health and wellness. YWPN works within the system to amplify the impact of the public dollar by funding enhancements to public school curriculum.
