Pool Announcements
We have a  couple of changes at the pool this winter: (1) Enter through front door only: With the addition of our new play area on the side of the lobby, our side doors will be used as an emergency exit only. Please use our main doors to come in and out of the facility. Thanks for your help, and enjoy the new play space! (2) Tax separated from retail item price tags: You may have noticed previously that sales tax was already included in the price of retail items. We have changed this so the price on the tag does NOT reflect tax, which will be added at checkout. If you have any questions, let us know!

Arctic Swimmers WIN this Winter!  We know that schedules get hectic during the Winter Session. Because students have the best swim experience through consistency in their classes, we are offering a special promotion throughout next session! Your children eligible to win prizes just by attending their regularly scheduled classes!Here's how it works: - Every week during Winter Session, you can fill out a prize entry form when you come to your family's scheduled lessons. Makeup sessions are not eligible for prize entry.

Don't Miss These Great Events!  (1) Toys for Tots: There's still time to support the US Marine Corps Reserve to provide Toys for Tots this holiday season. We will have boxes in the pool lobby for the next two weeks. To participate, simply bring new, unwrapped toys and put them in our collection boxes. It's so easy to bring a smile to local families in need! (2) CPR Certification Class THIS Sunday!
Our next class taught by American Heart Association Heartsaver instructor Kim Albright will be held at our Arlington Heights facility on Sunday, December 8th, 4:30 - 7:00pm. This class is open to the public ages 9+ and is $25 per person. Participants receive two-year certification for adult and child CPR and AED use. This class is great for parents, grandparents, older siblings, and babysitters! To register:

FREE Water Table Play Wednesdays!
 As the weather turns colder, our pool deck is heating up! Starting this week, we will offer a FREE water table play time on Wednesday mornings 9:30am - 11:30am. Families do not need to be enrolled in classes to participate. Bring a friend and let the kids get wet together. Afterwards, enjoy a coffee while the kids explore our new play area. Make it a weekly date at our place for the kids to play and socialize!

Reminder: New Make-Up Agreement
One of the most consistent complaints we receive revolves around the make-up agreement. To make the process easier for our families and staff, we will be modifying the agreement effective at the start of our Winter session. The new agreement is as follows: "Make-up lessons are available at Chicago Swim School. You are encouraged to make it to your child's scheduled class time as this provides the best environment for your child to learn with their instructor with whom they have formed a bond. We understand, however, there are times when a child is not able to attend their class. We ask that students make-up their absence in the month that it occurred. Make-up class times can be found and scheduled online, although only one may be scheduled at a time. If you are unable to attend any of the make-up times offered, a Family Swim pass, for your entire family, will be issued as a substitute. **Reminder...make-ups are based on availability and are not guaranteed. Once make-ups are scheduled, they may not be re-scheduled." We are confident the revision will be more user friendly and create a better experience for our families.

Solutions for Swimmers' Hair and Hard Water Buildup from KidSnips!
Winter w eather is fast approaching but for many people of all ages, summer residue is still in their hair and indoor pools continue to damage the hair.

Swimmers hair may need an extra leave-in conditioner or spray on detangler to aid in the combing of damaged hair to prevent excessive hair breakage, KidSnips recommends and also carries "The Wet Brush" brand of hairbrushes.
