I recently had the opportunity to attend a trunk show given by Philip Bershad, the President of Phillip Jeffries, a leading manufacture of natural, textural and speciality wallcoverings at Wakefield Design Center. This is not your Mother's grasscloth, but wallpaper designed in a new and exciting understated way. I'd like to highlight some of their new Fall launches.

Not Your Mother's Grasscloth Wallpaper

Phillip Jeffries was founded in 1976 by Chairman Eric Bershad, the company continues to work with skilled artisans to create sought after wallcoverings with Eric's two sons Philip and Jeffrey. One of their quality control methodologies, I thought was really remarkable. At the warehouse prior to shipping out your order, each panel of wallpaper is inspected and if there are any stray grasscloth "hairs" they are hand plucked with twizzers so you only receive the perfect panel.

There were four new collections that I felt were outstanding:

"Chain Reactions"

Inspired by Coco Chanel these embroidered chain designs are handstitched and applied to the wallpaper.  8 colorways.

"Knock On Wood"

You'll swear you are looking at wood! From beach chic birch to retro glam mahogany, these "wood walls" are perfect for a family room or man cave. Available in 10 colorways.

"Out For A Spin"

Boldly scaled circle designs are handprinted by artisans for a three dimensional effect. A contemporary spin on a classic design. Available in 10 colorways.

"Suit Yourself"

Tailored and textured, this woven geometric gives a nod to Mid-Century modern with a graphic and iconic pattern in a range of 11 colorways.
