June is Curbing Hunger Month
When the vestry and wardens established the new Triennial Vision for St. Mark's around the theme "nourish," we set lifting up Curbing Hunger as one of the priorities of the triennium. It's a major effort, which to date has raised over 2.2 million pounds of food, and which began right here at St. Mark's.

As part of the 20th Anniversary celebration of Curbing Hunger, the annual press conference will be here at St. Mark's on Monday June 2nd at 12 noon. We have one US Congressman committed, and at least two others are "maybes," and there will be other politicians and poobah's here as well.

But, the most important thing is to 1) fill up those bags, or 2) go online and purchase some food so that our food bank is flush through the summer...because hunger doesn't take a vacation.
