 "All the saints greet you"

Greetings!

All Saints' Day is one of the major feasts of the church year. While we are accustomed to thinking of "saints" as people of extraordinary virtue and who live or have lived Christ-like lives, all baptized Christians were referred to as "saints" in the early church.

SIM has a long tradition of praying for the "saints" of our SIM family. We pray daily for our 99 SIMinarians who have been awarded 2012-2013 SIM grants. On All Saints' Day we pray for our "saints" - SIM alumni, their spouses and partners, and persons in whose names Memorial Gifts have been made - naming those who have died in the past year.

On Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the All Saints' Day service of Holy Eucharist at Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 Sigourney Street, Hartford, CT, at 12:10 pm, we will pray for our "knit together" SIM family.

If you would like to join us, please advise the SIM office (860/233-1732) or by e-mail info@simministry.org by October 30th.
