Local Company Celebrates 80 Years in Colorado
Congratulations to Commerce City-based Sashco, Inc. celebrating its 80th year in Colorado. Mayor Sean Ford joined Sashco's President and other speakers for a celebration on June 7 at the company's headquarters and manufacturing facility at 10300 E. 107th Place. Sashco opened its doors in 1936 with a culture dominated by product innovation. This attitude toward innovation continued into the 1980s with the entrance into the log home market through Log Jam chinking and the first clear sealant in a clear cartridge. Construction of the Commerce City facility in 1996 put everything under one roof. This allowed incredible growth through the development of lean manufacturing processes and the hiring of highly skilled people that propelled the company into new areas of sales and market share. King Soopers, Walgreens, Perfect Teeth, and 7-Eleven are examples of companies with operations in Commerce City that have been facilitated by relationship building at past RECon meetings.
