Eric Dishman's Public Presentations on Future Technology and Aging
April 10, 11, 2014

ATRC is pleased to announce that Eric Dishman of the Intel Corporation (Portland, OR) will be in Honolulu as a special guest speaker at several events on April 10-11, 2014. Mr. Dishman, an Intel Fellow and General Manager of Intel's Health & Life Sciences, is responsible for driving Intel's global strategy for growth and new business innovation in health, wellness, and life sciences. His organization is chartered to deliver innovative computing technologies and solutions that improve healthcare quality, cost, and access to billions of people worldwide. Mr. Dishman will be engaging with Hawaii's healthcare, gerontology, academic, IT and business communities in a series of public dialogues. His discussions will focus on developing information and communication technology across the continuum of healthcare from hospital to home; the needs of aging population and use of technology to promote health and wellness; research and product development; as well as highlight economic opportunities in in-home and health care technologies.

Save the following dates, times, and venues for Mr. Dishman's presentations:

April 10, 2014   8:00-10:00 a.m.  University of Hawaii, Manoa campus, The East-West Center, Keoni Conference Room. Free Admission.

April 11, 2014   7:15-9:30 a.m.  The Plaza Club, Pioneer Plaza Building, Admission Fee: $30, includes Continental Breakfast.

April 11, 2014    12:00-1:30 p.m.  Queen's Conference Center, Queen's Medical Center. This video conferencing available for neighbor islands. Free Admission - No-host Brown bag session.

Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation - Grant Acknowledgement

We are thrilled that the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation has awarded for its 2013 Quality of Life grant to ATRC. The grant will be used to purchase equipment for people with disabilities, including those with paralysis and/or severe physical disabilities in Hawaii. 

We would like to thank the Reeve Foundation for its continued support of our Assistive Technology Device Loan (AT Depot) Program.  This is the third time we have received the Quality of Life grant for this program.
