AT News: Assistive Technology Eyeglasses

Image #4: An Assitive Technology Eyeglasses developed by Enchroma "end of image"

Color blind individuals now have access to assistive technology eyeglasses developed by Enchroma.  There are different forms of color blindness, and it is often present at birth as an inherited condition, but it can also be acquired from other eye problems later in life, or as a side effect of medications.  The technology in the glasses developed by http://enchroma.com cannot resolve all color blindness issues, but it is intended to assist with two forms of color blindness: deuteranomaly, difficulty differentiating shades of red, green, yellow, brown and pink, and protanomaly, difficulty differentiating shades of green, red, brown, and purple.  The company also produces a free iPad app to help you test your color vision Color Blindness Test (this test cannot make a medical diagnosis).
