November 2014

Fresh from his first solo show in Berlin, Paul Greco brings us more images to conjure with, both old and new.  Greco continues to explore the world from his deeply rooted and graphic sense of what is balanced and right. Shirley Glasser shares her positive and colorful view of the landscape around her with recent and historical work.

Please join us at the opening reception Sunday, November 9th 2-5 pm.

Greco has just returned from his first solo exhibition in Berlin Germany, where much of his most recent work is still on exhibit.

His seventh show at Upstream offers an unusually intimate glimpse into his past and current work, including some work that has never been shown before. Also featured will be a collaborative sculpture entitled "The Portal" designed by Greco and executed with assistance from fellow artist, Luis Perelman.

Recent Work

Glasser has been examining the world from her own unique perspective for many years.  The work in her current show showcases both her inimitable sense of natural rhythms, and her indomitable ability to continue to make art no matter the odds.

About Upstream: Since 1991 Upstream has been a unique community of arts professionals whose members work together cooperatively.  Artist members look to Upstream as a venue for experimentation, mutual support and artistic growth. In that spirit, we engage with other artists through a regular program of juried and invitational exhibits. The gallery embraces all fine arts media and all styles from realism to abstraction. Upstream is an established resource for new or experienced art collectors, as well as area curators, designers and art consultants.

The current artist members work in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, collage / assemblage, print-making and photography.  Styles range from the representational to the abstract.  Members have shown in a wide variety of venues throughout the United States and Europe. Upstream encourages artists to submit their work for review.  Submissions are reviewed on a monthly basis.
