On this day in 1703 John Wesley, founder of Methodism, was born in Epworth, England to parents Samuel and Susanna. Though Methodism's emphasis on grace and instantaneous (often emotional) conversion marked a radical departure from high church tradition, Wesley always considered himself Anglican.

Episcopal Night at Dodger Stadium

On Friday, 2 September at 7pm, all Episcopalians are invited to gather at Dodger Stadium for "Episcopal Night" featuring the Dodgers versus the San Diego Padres. this will be a battle of divisional rivals with fireworks, figuratively and literally (after the game). Tickets are $20 each. 

If you would like to go, please email the Parish Office no later than Sunday, 24 July! Checks should be made payable to St. Thomas with "Dodgers" in the memo section.
