If man had his way, the plan of redemption would be an endless and bloody conflict. In reality, salvation was bought not by Jesus' fist, but by His nail-pierced hands; not by muscle, but by love; not by vengeance, but by forgiveness; not by force, but by sacrifice. Jesus Christ our Lord surrendered in order that He might win; He destroyed His enemies by dying for them and conquered death by allowing death to conquer Him.

On Saturday, 16 April at 7:30pm, tenor Nathan Dougherty sings with a period consort of violin, viola da gamba, cello, lute, and harpsichord in an historically informed performance of 17th and 18th Century music. Repertoire includes works by Jacopo Peri, Bertrand de Bacilly, Michel Lambert, Jean-Baptiste Mornin, and Bernardo Pasquini. A reception follows in the parish hall.
"Let's Talk About" Series

The "Let's Talk About" series, an adult education series sponsored by Stewardship of Faith & Knowledge, begins this year with an interesting course called "The God We Know" which will be covering the Christian, Jewish, and Muslim perspectives of God. The course continues on 17 April with Mr. Jihad Turk, President of Bayan Claremont School of Theology with a presentation on the Muslim perspective, and on 1 May a guest speaker TDB will be discussing the Jewish perspective. All sessions begin in the Large Parish Hall after the High Mass. All Parishioners and their friends are very welcome to attend.

Donations are requested (socks, wash clothes, unopened travel-size personal care items) to be distributed to the homeless on Saturday, 23 April at our foot-washing event, which will take place during a Breakfast Club. There will be a collection bin at the back of the church for all donations. All are welcome to attend the event as well!
