St. Thomas the Apostle is an Episcopal Parish in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. We are called by God to be a holy place where love is found, where all are named and where hearts are freed to change the world.
St. Thomas has a great respect for both the rich liturgical heritage of the church and for living the message of social justice proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, single, married or in a relationship, female or male, poor or wealthy, you are welcome at St. Thomas just as you are...a child of God and an inheritor of God's grace. |

Capital Campaign Update
Kitchen Remodel
We are excited to report that progress on the kitchen remodel - a vital component of our Capital Campaign - steadily continues.
Our dedicated team of John Bollard, Ben Pratt and Ray Beaty are currently awaiting bids for the new fixtures and appliances. The kitchen remains usable, with the exception of the faucet in the island, which had to be removed to do pipe replacement. Once the bid process is complete, the next step will be preparing the floors, walls, plumbing, etc. for the new fixtures.
You may have noticed that a small utility sink and cabinetry were installed in the small hall. This is an interim measure to provide storage, water, electricity, and serving space to the anonymous groups to whom we rent space. Long-term, we think having a larger counter and overhead cabinetry in that location would serve both the anonymous groups and the Parish well, including providing serving space for the Breakfast Club. As such, we will ultimately have very simple custom cabinetry built that will match the tall cabinets in the small hall. This will be a simple, but consistent look with the rest of the hall and the benefits will be significant.
Thank you for your patience as we work through this process. As always, we are so deeply appreciative of your generosity and support of the Capital Campaign.

On This Day in
Christian History
On this day in 1556 St. Ignatius of Loyola, Spanish Roman Catholic reformer and founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), died in Rome. During his life he saw 1,000 men join his order and 100 colleges and seminaries established. Apart from his order, St. Ignatius' greatest legacy he left was in his Spiritual Exercises, a devotional guide that has been in constant use for over 460 years.
