St. Thomas the Apostle is an Episcopal Parish in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. We are called by God to be a holy place where love is found, where all are named and where hearts are freed to change the world.
St. Thomas has a great respect for both the rich liturgical heritage of the church and for living the message of social justice proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, single, married or in a relationship, female or male, poor or wealthy, you are welcome at St. Thomas just as you are...a child of God and an inheritor of God's grace. |

Lenten Study Course
Beginning 12 March, following the 7pm Mass on Wednesdays during Lent, the Lenten Series course will be offered. This year's Lenten Study will be following Love Songs & Reproaches: Passionate Conversations with God by William Countryman. A limited number of books will be available for sale in the office for $16 per book; one may also find this book on his own. Each week a Parishioner pre-selected by the Rector will lead in a theological, spiritual and literary discussion of several of Countryman's 100 poems. About the book: Countryman grapples with the reality of evil and loss, as well as hope for fulfillment of life. The author takes liberties with the scriptures in order to explore them with new seriousness and argues with both God and scripture freely in the process.

On This Day in
Christian History
On this day in 203, St. Perpetua, (a Christian about 22 years old), her slave and expectant mother, St. Felicitas, and several others were martyred at the arena in Carthage. They were flogged, attacked by hungry leopards, and finally beheaded. St. Perpetual remains one of early Christianity's most famous martyrs.
