St. Thomas the Apostle is an Episcopal Parish in the Anglo-Catholic tradition.  We are called by God to be a holy place where love is found, where all are named and where hearts are freed to change the world.

St. Thomas has a great respect for both the rich liturgical heritage of the church and for living the message of social justice proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, single, married or in a relationship, female or male, poor or wealthy, you are welcome at St. Thomas just as you are...a child of God and an inheritor of God's grace.

Catechism Class Forming

Interested in becoming a member of St. Thomas, or in reinvigorating your knowledge of our faith and worship? It's time to start thinking about joining this year's Catechumen Class. This course, which meets every Saturday beginning 14 September and running right up to the Great Easter Vigil, is required for anyone who wishes to be Baptized, Confirmed, or Received into the Parish Church. It's also open to current Parishioners who are interested in learning more and Reaffirming their commitment to Christ.

Interested parties should contact the Parish Office to schedule a meeting.

When meeting with Fr. Davies, interested parties are asked to fill-in THIS QUESTIONNAIRE. Clicking on the link and bringing in a pre-answered questionnaire would be helpful but not required.
Acolyte Refresher Classes

Refresher classes conducted by Efrain Cisneros and Reece Thomson for ALL Acolytes, M/Cs, LEMs and Sub Deacons are being held on Saturdays, 14 & 28 September following the 10am Low Mass. All acolytes are required to attend one of those Saturdays. Please reply to Reece (reecepthomson@icloud.com) no later than 7 September 2013 and confirm which Saturday you will be attending.
Update on Organ Project

AS you have probably noticed, our contractor has completed his work painting the back exterior wall of the Church and the exterior transepts. The difference is striking! This work was funded entirely by a generous gift from an anonymous donor. We are very grateful!

Now that the exterior painting is complete, our contractor has moved to the interior of the Church to prepare our sacred space for the multi-year Organ Renovation Project. For the next 3 to 4 weeks our contractor will be:

* Cleaning the lower stonework in the sanctuary.
* Painting, or otherwise preparing, the lower textured walls and the south wall of the Church.
* Painting the upper clerestory walls.
* Performing other long-overdue interior cleaning and repairs which are needed so our Church will be ready to receive the renovated organ, once it is completed.

While we will make every effort to clean and prepare the Church for weekend services, you will notice a number of signs of ongoing construction and cleaning work - such as a scissor lift and other equipment stored in the Church. For those who attend the Daily Offices or weekday Masses, the interior of the Church will look very much like a construction zone. Please bear with us while we perform this necessary work. Also, please note that all weekday Offices and Masses will be held in the Damien Chapel while this work is underway. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

If you have any questions regarding the work being performed at St. Thomas, please see the People's Warden, Ken Koonce, or the liaison to the Organ Renovation Project, former Rector's Warden, Randy Oglesby.
