St. Thomas the Apostle is an Episcopal Parish in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. We are called by God to be a holy place where love is found, where all are named and where hearts are freed to change the world.
St. Thomas has a great respect for both the rich liturgical heritage of the church and for living the message of social justice proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, single, married or in a relationship, female or male, poor or wealthy, you are welcome at St. Thomas just as you are...a child of God and an inheritor of God's grace. |

Gifts Received $182,510.10
Ministries Funded $214,982.68
Balance ($32,742.58)
A note from the Treasurer: Even though the balance above might appear jarring, the budget anticipated this loss during these traditionally slower summer months. We look forward to the fall when the Parish Choir returns and pledge income and non-pledge income return to normal levels. Minutes from the July Vestry meeting are now available by CLICKING HERE. Please do not hesitate to see me if there are any questions or concerns.

Parish Choir
We thank the Parish Choir for a wonderful year of service culminating with the very successful "Family Follies," the proceeds of which benefit the Choir's annual retreat in September.
The choir is now on a much-deserved, two-month hiatus.
We look forward to September when the choir returns to the High Mass. |
On This Day in
Christian History
On this day in 1572 Catherine de Medici sent her son, young King Charles IX of France, into a panic with threats of an imminent Huguenot (French Protestant) insurrection. Frenzied, he yelled, "Kill them all! Kill them all!" In response, Catholics in Parish butchered the Huguenots who had come to the city for a royal wedding. Between 5,000 and 10,000 Protestants died in the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre.
