St. Thomas the Apostle is an Episcopal Parish in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. We are called by God to be a holy place where love is found, where all are named and where hearts are freed to change the world.
St. Thomas has a great respect for both the rich liturgical heritage of the church and for living the message of social justice proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, single, married or in a relationship, female or male, poor or wealthy, you are welcome at St. Thomas just as you are...a child of God and an inheritor of God's grace. |

A Note from
Dr. Mazzucchelli & Mr. Thornbury
We wish to express our dep appreciation to the many parishioners who contributed to the joyful occasion of our nuptial blessing and celebration of our 50 years together at the high mass on Sunday, July 21st. We especially wish to thank our beloved Rector, Fr. Ian Elliott Davies, for his incredibly moving sermon and for bestowing the Church's blessing on our recent civil marriage. We also wish to thank the Rector's Warden, Chris Wagner, who did so much to insure the success of the festive reception that followed. -Vincent Mazzucchelli and John Thornbury |

Parish Choir
We thank the Parish Choir for a wonderful year of service culminating with the very successful "Family Follies," the proceeds of which benefit the Choir's annual retreat in September.
The choir is now on a much-deserved, two-month hiatus.
We look forward to September when the choir returns to the High Mass. |

On This Day in
Christian History
On this day in 1833, having abolished the slave trade in 1807, Britain's House of Commons banned slavery itself. When William Wilberforce, who had spent most of his life crusading against slavery, heard the news, he said, "Thank God I have lived to witness [this] day." He died three days later.
