Greetings!
St. Thomas the Apostle is an Episcopal Parish in the Anglo-Catholic tradition. We are called by God to be a holy place where love is found, where all are named and where hearts are freed to change the world.
St. Thomas has a great respect for both the rich liturgical heritage of the church and for living the message of social justice proclaimed by Jesus Christ. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, single, married or in a relationship, female or male, poor or wealthy, you are welcome at St. Thomas just as you are...a child of God and an inheritor of God's grace. |

Advent Giving
During Advent, the Parish of St. Thomas the Apostle again participated in the Angel Tree Project. Through Angel Tree, members of St. Thomas the Apostle Hollywood were able to fulfill the Christmas wishes of 40 at-risk children by delivering Christmas gifts requested by children affiliated with two local organizations: Hillsides (a foster care and treatment center) and the Interfaith Refugee and Immigration Service (IRIS). The Parish also participated in the "Literally Healing Program" at Children's Hospital Los Angeles through which St. Thomas members donated dozens of books to Children's Hospital. Finally, St. Thomas is continuing to participate in the SOVA food drive, which is a program sponsored by the Jewish Family Service of Los Angeles.
Thank you to everyone who participated in these Advent giving programs. A special thanks to Chris Gable and Gerardo Vergara for their tireless work and leadership in organizing all three of these programs at St. Thomas.

On this day in 1714, George Whitefield, called "the marvel of his age" for the way his preaching could move an audience, was born in Gloucester, England. His message kicked off America's first "Great Awakening".
