Featuring the art and craft of our region and our time. Inaugural exhibitions include more than 50 artists. Ribbon cutting ceremony starts at 11:15 AM.  The Samurai Warrior on the Noh Stage Sun., June 30, 6:00 PM
A rare opportunity to see the world's oldest surviving theatrical art. The performance features Munenori Takeda, member of a family of Noh performers whose lineage goes back 700 years in Japan. In this interactive workshop audience members can view the performance, study many fascinating facts about Noh and learn to sing the lines along with the players. At Bainbridge Island Museum of Art.

Island Gallery: New works by nine artists and live jazz by The BBC; Roby King Galleries: Contemporary Realism: Richard Hall & Eileen Sorg; Bainbridge Arts & Crafts: Setting Sail - Artists at Sea; Danger: Gail Bair. Amy Hatvany: Heart Like Mine
Travelogue: Rowing into the Son
A graduate of the University of Puget Sound, Jordan Hanssen was born in Mobile, AL, in 1982 and was raised in England, Ireland, New Mexico, and Washington State. His family imbued him with a love of travel that has taken him down rivers in Thailand in bamboo rafts and cycling through the French Alps. In 2006 he rowed from New York to England with three others in a 29-foot rowboat, and Rowing Into the Son (Mountaineers Books, 2012) tells his story about that experience. Co-sponsored by the Bainbridge Public Library and The Traveler. Free at the Library.
