Farmers' Market Opening Sat., Apr. 13, 9 AM - 1 PM
The Bainbridge Island Farmers Market opens for the season on April 13 with a ceremonial "Cheese Toss" with Bainbridge Island Mayor Steve Bonkowski. Early season vegetable starts, carrots, lettuce, garlic, herbs, salad mixes and fresh, local meats, eggs, cheese and more. Bainbridge Performing Arts Apr. 20 & 21, Pops Special: Orchestra Comique
The Bainbridge Symphony Orchestra teams up with The EDGE Improv group in an evening of hilarity and musical entertainment! Maestro Schulz leads the orchestra through a potpourri of comedic orchestral music and The EDGE joins in with their delectable commentary. Also joining BSO on the program is the Bainbridge Island Youth Symphony Senior Orchestra in a side-by-side performance. Pianist Benjamin Salman, 2nd place winner of the BSO's 2013 Young Artist Competition, will play the last movement of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5, "Emperor."
