Calling all aspiring girl artists!

If your girls like to draw and be creative, this is an opportunity for them!

GSSWT is in need of an image to put on the front of a holiday card for the winter season. We plan to send this card to donors and other community members to thank them for their support of Girl Scouts. Here are the requirements:

  1. Don't be afraid to use color.
  2. Must either be in a high-resolution JPEG format (created with Photoshop, MS Paint or other image editing software) OR original artwork on 8˝ x11" paper can be dropped off at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center (811 N. Coker Loop, San Antonio, 78216).
  3. Cannot depict a Christmas tree, stockings or any other religiously themed items (must be a generic, winter-themed card) OR must depict all religiously oriented holidays (Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, etc). Snowmen and gifts are acceptable on non-denominational cards.
  4. Must be emailed to Brooke Johnson OR dropped off no later than 5 p.m., Wednesday, October 16. If you need to mail your creation (must be received by Oct.16 to be considered), please send it to Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, Attn: Brooke Johnson, 811 N. Coker Loop, San Antonio, TX 78216.

All submissions will be showcased at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center and the West Side Girl Scout Leadership Center.

The winning design will also be showcased as the council's Facebook cover photo for the month of December.
