Fall 2013 Pathways Guide is available! |
|
GSSWT's Pathways Guide is published twice a year (January and August). Hard copies of the publication are available for every registered Girl Scout and the guide can be easily accessed online. Inside the Pathways Guide, you'll find a step-by-step guide to registering for and attending a variety of council-sponsored activities that emphasize the flexible pathways in Girl Scouts. GSSWT staff plan and implement girl activities and adult learning opportunities throughout the council's 21-county service area to meet the needs and interests of our diverse membership.
Each event identifies the appropriate grade level, whether adults are required to attend and if the event is for troop, individual or family participation. Click on the cover above and make your way to Girl Scout fun!

Long Range Property Plan | |
In August 2012, GSSWT's board of directors established a volunteer-led Long Range Property Plan (LRPP) Committee that was tasked to develop a long-term property plan for the council's 21-county jurisdiction. In June 2013, the LRPP Committee presented the findings and recommendations to the board.
Visit girlscouts-swtx.org/property for more information on the long-term property plan.

Are you Earth-friendly? |
|
"Earth-friendly" simply means being friendly to nature. Earth is the only planet where human beings can exist. We need to be eco-friendly to save our planet and make it a better place (like the Girl Scout Law states!). One million tons of waste is produced in the world every day. We can make little efforts to help planet Earth -- and in doing so, we're not only helping our surroundings, but fellow humans and animals, too!
Girl Scouts Forever Green is a national project developed by girls, volunteers, alumnae, staff and collaborators for Girl Scouting's 100th Anniversary to honor its founder, Juliette Gordon Low, who loved nature and the outdoors. It enables Girl Scouts, as a Movement, to track significant, collective, positive impacts on our environment.
We can make a difference! Won't you help us?!
Anyone can join! So ask your friends, families, classmates and neighbors to sign up, too! Actions you take in your daily life help protect the environment and conserve natural resources. You can make a difference!
