committee applications due Monday! 

Go Gold The new Gold Award Advisory Committee is taking applications for currently registered volunteers interested in being a member of this committee. You will have the chance to facilitate workshops, work one-on-one with girls and work with a diverse group of volunteers! Interested? Email us for an application (apps due Monday, July 15).

Girl Power! exhibit extended to September!

The Institute of Texan Cultures, in partnership with GSSWT, presents Girl Power!, an exhibition heralding the next century of Girl Scouting. Visit ITC's website for hours and admission. 

 

The display has been extended to Sunday, September 29. Come experience the enduring values and traditions of this iconic organization as told through personal stories, photographs, artifacts and memorabilia.

Camp Perks 

Camp Metro @ West Side Girl Scout Leadership Center offers:

1. Free transportation from the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center in the morning and afternoon
2. Before and after care at an additional $25/girl

 

Camp Mira Sol Day Camp in Waring offers:

1. Free transportation from the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center in San Antonio and the Riverside Nature Center in Kerrville in the morning and afternoon

2. Before and after care at an additional $25/girl

 

Camp La Jita Resident Camp offers:

1. Transportation on Friday afternoon to transport campers and their gear from Camp La Jita to the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center at an additional $20/girl

Wurzbach Parkway Progress

Keep an eye out for heavy equipment transportation in our area as construction on the Wurzbach Parkway extension continues to progress. Construction on Wurzbach Parkway is scheduled for completion in 2015.

Girl Scout Shops will be closed July 17-19

Sale!

Both shops at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center and West Side Girl Scout Leadership Center will be CLOSED Wednesday, July 17 through Friday, July 19, reopening on Monday, July 22 at regular business hours (see below). Thanks for your understanding!
 
Shop @ Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center Hours
(summer hours, June 1-August 31)
  • Monday-Wednesday: 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
  • Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Second Saturday: 9 a.m-1 p.m. (Shop will not be open at the Sally Cheever Girl Scout Leadership Center on Saturday, August 10 -- but will be open at Volunteer Kick-off at Region 20)
